Our speed limits are going up! Well, at least in Central and Eastern Oregon. It sometimes blows my mind how low they are out here, and a speeding ticket I got a few months ago affirms that. Even on a “parkway” you’ll see a 45 mph speed limit.

Perfect. Just as I leave Oregon, they raise the damn speed limit.

Seriously, 55 down OR97 for over a hundred miles. YOU GET KINDA BORED!!

Also, the highways around Mt. Hood National Forest can be pretty good driving roads (I’m looking at you, OR30), yet they limited them to 55.

Haha, I got pulled over for going 70 coming back from Crater Lake and was let off with a warning luckily, but 97 is just chock full of cops. Funnily enough with the proposed speed limits I doubt I would have been pulled over in the first place at that speed.

Same here. I was doing about 80 on 97 north approaching Bend and got pulled over. Luckily the cop that pulled me over didn’t write me a ticket.

Now we need to find some way to increase the limits from 60 in western WA. Seriously, it is insane. Big limited-access highways are 60 and anything that isn’t is usually knocked down to 50. I have to drive 15 miles to just do 60.
